# Company Brief > Paste what you have on one company - website copy, an about page, news articles, press releases, filings, call notes - and get a structured research brief in which every line cites the source it came from and quotes it word for word. The page checks each quote against the text you pasted. No API key needed: each brief is paid per run with SkillSafe credits. Nothing is scraped or looked up; the brief contains only what your sources say, plus clearly labelled inferences. URL: https://company-brief.skillsafe.ai/ API: https://company-brief.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## What it does - Takes a company name, an optional "angle" (why you are looking: a sales call, an interview, a partnership, due diligence) and any number of sources, pasted or dropped as files (PDF text layer, Word .docx, TXT, Markdown, saved HTML). Files are read in the browser. - Free, before any run: scans the sources for money amounts, percentages, counts and dates, and lists each with the sentence it sits in. - Long sources are trimmed to fit one request (about 48,000 characters): each keeps its opening and the paragraphs most about the business, customers, money and risk, with visible markers where text was dropped. The page says exactly what was trimmed. - The brief has fixed sections: one-liner, what they do, customers, business model, key figures (a table of metric, value, period, source), recent signals (dated events), strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks (a SWOT), where the sources disagree, questions to ask, your angle (talking points tied to sourced facts) and what the sources do not say. - Every factual line carries source tags and a short verbatim quote. The page searches for each quote in the cited source and marks the line verified (word for word), close, or not found; lines without a source, citing a source that was never sent, or stating a number that is not in the cited source are flagged. Click a source chip to read the passage highlighted. - Judgement is labelled: lines that are inferences start with "inferred". Marketing claims are reported as the company's claims. No investment advice. - Filters: all lines, stated facts only, inferred only, or lines that need checking. - Export: copy as Markdown, download .md, download a PowerPoint deck (.pptx, one slide per section plus sources), or print / save as PDF. - Iterate: add a news item or filing and re-run; lines that are new since the previous version are marked. Signed-in briefs are saved to the account with their sources. ## Free examples Three worked examples replay at no cost: a fictional warehouse-robotics company with five sources and a sales angle (including two conflicts between sources), a fictional health-tech company with four sources and a job-interview angle (including a prompt-injection line in a source, which is treated as content), and a fictional bakery with one thin about page (most sections read "None found in the sources"). ## Model and pricing Runs on SkillSafe's gpt-terra model tier. Before a run the page shows the most it can cost as a reserve; you are charged what the run uses. Sign-in is required to run; examples and the figure scan are free without an account. ## Limits - Only as good as what you paste: the brief never adds facts from outside the sources. - Scanned PDFs without a text layer cannot be read; paste their text instead. - Quote checks prove a line's quote appears in the source, not that the line's wording follows from it - read the highlighted passage for anything you will act on.
